CDM in Ireland
|
CDM is the leader of the consortium that will work in partnership with Dublin City Council, government agencies and interested parties to develop a river basin management plan for the Eastern River Basin District in Ireland in accordance with the European Union’s Water Framework Directive. The directive requires implementation of river basin management systems toward long-term objectives:
- to achieve good ecological water quality for all water bodies and
- to manage water in an integrated way that is cost-effective, efficient and sustainable.
CDM will be responsible for overall programme management and project implementation, delivering technical expertise in water resources planning and management, catchment characterisation, hydrology and hydrogeology, eutrophication control, environmental assessment, chemical fate and transport, groundwater, surface water and coastal water, geographic information systems and database management, application of decision support systems and environmental management systems.
